That's good news since I've been going to Diablo for the past few years now anyway. They're great about providing loaners as long as you reserve far enough in advance. Jamie is a great rep and Rusty too. Have an appointment later in August for the gas tank recall and my 45,000 mile service. Warranty is expiring in September, so will have another look over to see if anything else needs to be checked out.

brought the Golf to Freddie on Saturday to get a second opinion on what we had been told by SF shop to be a leaking tranny, a power steering pressure hose leak and some other stuff all adding up to about ~$1,800, and well after Freddie inspected the car turned out there was nothing wrong w/ it...

once again this was well worth the trip all the way from SF...

Freddie will still be opened to deal w/ nuts like us so feel free to get in touch w/ him or the shop to schedule an appointment... he'll be personally taking care of us during evenings and weekends which is terrific imo since i'm out of warranty and have no desire to bring the Avant to the stearlership!

my shop is still open, during the week my good friend runs it, but if you want me to actually do the work , you need to make a evening appointment or weekend....
anyway it's just a oil change, so around $100. due to the price of synthetic oil.
at 15k we do the pollen filter, i think the last A3 i did a 15k on was around $175 to $200.00. so just let me know......

I had my 25K service done there awhile back and I also bought a few things from their parts department. I was going to head back there because my check engine light came on in the morning before I left for work but that afternoon it went off.

Do you happen to know anyone who does scratch or dent repair? I have indentations of license plate screws on my rear bumper from being parallel parked.

some local shop in Noe Valley on 24th street... even before the quote on the Golf i wouldn't have recommended them since they damaged one of my rims that i left there b/c it had a flat... sure i left it for a while, but still...
