s4-rs4 Interior Trim

Are the trim pieces interchangeable from the rs4 to the s4? I went to the dealership and the parts department guy said he could not guarantee the front ash tray piece would fit on a b6 S4. Thx

The 25th anniversary B7 S4s came with "RS4" CF trim which has the larger basket weave, etc., so all of the pieces should work with the exception of the ashtray. If I'm not mistaken the difference in the ashtray cover pieces has to do with which audio system you have... there are two part numbers: 8E0 857 967 AM and 8E0 857 967 AP (for double DIN).

It's not the CF Trim. I had my ugly wood trim painted PIANO BLACK, but I need to replace my front ashtray cover. Tell me if this is wrong but, on the RS4, I believe you have the choice between CF and Piano Black.

My question is (dealership cannot answer), will the rs4 front-ashtray trim piece fit on the b6 s4? Thx

Looks like I am just going to get it repainted for $50 bucks instead of the $120 for a new one.

Yes, RS4 is either Carbon or Piano Black.

Yes, there are two ashtray covers and they are single- and double-DIN. Both are available in Carbon (in Europe).
