Hey guys ok so my problem is pretty bad i think, i was messing around with the vagcom tool and i ****ed up the codes in my central convenience. i dont remember what the original code was so i dont know how to put it back. something is now draining my battery all the time and alot of my settings done work for example when i lock my car it does not beep and flash the lights. does anyone know what i should to do? how do i get the original code back on my car?

Either bring it to the dealership or look through the Sticky thread at the top of our forum to see if you can find the right codes.

he doesn't know what codes he screwed up... coudl you make a back up of what your car is originally is coded at? If so... you should have made a backup.

That sucks man, anyone around you with the same features in their car as yours. Then you can go in and see what his/her code is and put yours back. Only thing I can come up with, it's Friday

i think you should do what sanjman said.
say your mother borrowed the car for an errand and the car came back like this. and i knew something was wrong after i didnt hear a noise when i locked the doors.

you need to take your car to the dealer and act totally stupid!!!!! in fact never mention you have a vag com!!

a friend of mine had to get a master tech or someone to replace all the modules that control the parts he messed up via vag...

go to the dealer....

well can the dealer fix the problem for sure? i also got a messed up battery now due to the messed up codes that i think drained my battery. i went to the dealer and they want me to get a new battery and hten they will look at my car. how do i make them reflash my car cuz i think after they look at it they wont see anything wrong at all.

if the battery is still under warranty... you can get it replaced/prorated

have you tried to disconnect the battery all together... let it sit and then see if it resets any codes?

does the chipping software reset your vag codings or are they independent of each other?

another idea is to get a rosstech manual or look online and see what the default codes are for the addresses you messed up.

i think chipping is independant from vag codings...

i did my remote windows and no seat belt chime prior to the chip...after chipping, my functions are still there

They are separate modules. If the OP will post up the specs for his car maybe one of us can post up the code we have.

It might save you the agravation of actually dealing with your local stealership. Just post your specs, i'm sure quite a few people on this board will have the same options as you.

+1 take it to the dealer. play dumb & pissed. "dude, i don't KNOW what happened, it just started acting like this! i have a warranty, so fix it!" etc etc

Thats Why Everytime I Use My Vag Tool I Write Down The Original Code On Paper Before I Do Anything And Save It In My Glove Box...sorry To Hear What Happened

Just curious, did you get the issue resolved?
