I think I know the answer to this, but just wanted to get confirmation. I know the rear sway bars fit on an A4, but do the fronts?

    No, I don't believe so...only S4 or RS4 rear fit onto an A4.

Front bars are the same as well and will also fit.

Whether there's actually a difference in thickness I would have to look up, I don't know.

Ah interesting, good info. I just checked; front B6 A4 1.8T and B6 S4 swaybar bushings for the front are the both 29mm, but different p/n according to the dealer(even though another source shows them as the same p/n).

The B6/B7 S4 (20mm rear bar) or RS4 (22mm rear bar) rears fit the B6/B7 A4 fine w/ the proper sway bar bushing and bracket. The A4, A4 w/ sport suspension & S4 were all suppose to have the same front bar (30mm IIRC), but just different rear bars.

Can anyone confirm this? I am going to install the front one next week and just want to know whether I should waste my time or not.

According to our Audi dealer, the RS4's w/ "HD dampers" has 22mm rear bars, non-HD damper cars have 20mm rear sways.

Interesting. This is the first time this has come up. I will see if i can round up the part #'s. On the ETKA there used to be just one listed rear sway bar part number for the US spec cars.

Will the RS4 front sway bar fit on B6 A4?

Yes. All B6 and B7's use the same bar dimensions. You might need additional items like the bushings and brackets, but the general shape of the bars are all interchangeable.
