    Good price on B7 s-line?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I found a quartz 2006 a4 s-line 6mt with xenons and everything except nav and bt. Its got about 35k miles and in mint condition. I can get it for 21500. Is it worth it or just barely a good price. Would i be better of waiting for the b8's to come out will the price drop be big enough? I wanted a dolphin grey but quartz is growing on me. Opinions?

seems like a good price, but you might be able to get a little bit off of that.

is it CPO from dealership? or from private party?

with the b8's coming soon i think you could negotiate that price down a little bit, maybe $20,500

if it helps, i bought an '07 20k miles, only premium package for $22,000

dont necessarily wait.. maybe talk them down on the price..

walk in, say "hey, they are redesigning the a4 which will come out in a couple months making this an old body style. the value of this car will drop in a month when the new ones come out. ill give you 20k right now, take it or leave it."

Re: Good price on B7 s-line?

Hmm, 21.5k doesnt seem to bad...honestly.

Call or visit a local audi dealership and acquire the service records first. If no major repairs, then maybe offer the dealer 21k to save yourself a few bucks.

How are the tires, brakes, engine bay (clean, any signs of oil...etc). These things should factor into the price as you may have to pay for replacement in the near future.

Re: Good price on B7 s-line?

The thing is its a few states away so i wouldnt even get to drive it. But the pictures look good and i have 3 days or 200 miles to return it. I really wanted a dolphin grey s-line but there hard to find (except drexplode's car which is truly beautiful). Im thinking of just waiting on it and either A. Finding another one or B. Them calling me back with a lower price.

price is great if its CPO, only good if its not. Offer 20k and work from there. Buy it before it disappears.

Re: Good price on B7 s-line?

Yeah it isnt CPO and its being sold by a non-audi dealership. I offered 20k but they wouldnt budge off of 21500 as hard as i tried. I'll let it sit there i dont think i want to pay over 20k for it.

Re: Good price on B7 s-line?

since u still have the remainder of factory warranty and free scheduled maintenance, i would pick it up. its damn hard to find an sline you like, much less in a good color and with good options. check carfax report on it first tho and visually inspect it for signs of hard-use wear and tear.

Thanks for the help guys, i guess one night of sleep was to long for this car, its now gone. Maybe its a good thing since in the end i would've still ultimately wanted Ibis, Red, or Dolphin.

If it was Quattro, of course it's gone; that car sounds like a steal. Do a search on autotrader or cars.com and you'll be hard-pressed to find an 06 s-line for $21k. They're still averaging ~$25k+ for that year and miles. I don't understand why everyone thinks their 06 s-lines are worth $21k but if any of you have an Avant 2.0T QMT6 s-line with 35k mi, I'll take it off your hands for $21k, lol.

Eventhough B8s are coming out this fall, there are no more 08 B7s being delivered to dealers and with many downsizing to fuel efficient cars and many people slowing their spending habits (buying used over new)...low supply + high demand = strong prices. Good luck with your search...6MT s-lines are a bitch to find...took me three months to find mine.

Re: Good price on B7 s-line?

That's a great price if the car is accident-free and clean. I just bought a 2005.5 A4 Quattro w/6spd manual for $20k out-the-door. It has 40k miles, but is showroom clean with not a mark except for some tiny nicks on the bumper areas. Fully loaded except for Nav and sports suspension. I didn't want Nav, but sure would have liked the sports suspension.

Grab that S-line at $21k if it has a clean Carfax and looks good when you inspect it in person. I recommend looking UNDER the car for any damage and to assess how much corrosion may be lurking there. Again, $21k is an excellent price for a 2006 Quattro S-line.
