Any good basic kit-not too expensive

Hey guys, I want to buy a basic wash, polish, wax, wheel cleaner, pads and cloths kit but lost my job recently so I dont really want to get too crazy expensive. I really want the Adams essentials kit, but don't really want to spend $150 right now on that kit. Any other kit out there? I also checked out the Zaino Total Protection Show Car Kit which is 85 which is ok. But the kit looks a little too complicated and time consuming for me. Dont have patience for the type of kit. I HATE detailing my car. Plus I don't think it comes with a wax.

Any other kit out there? Or recommend certain products that falls in this criteria?

    Thanks for the help

try Autozone, try to buy some random stuffs out there. If you want something decent enough, there will be a higher price tag no doubt.

If you hate detailing your car...have someone else do it! You only need it done twice a year...and i think you can take care of washing your car yourself right??

Zaino makes some amazing stuff...but there is a learning curve to it. I would just stick with your over the counter products...they are user friendly.

If it is not something you enjoy doing, and you don't want to buy the best stuff to do the job just pay someone else to do it. In the end both you and your car will be happier.

Re: Any good basic kit-not too expensive

I understand that detailing is not the most enjoyable thing out there - a lot of products out there don't help either. But the fact that you are considering a detailing line says that you still care about your car and you probably lean more towards doing it yourself.

The einszett line is really made for people who don't want to spend endless hours detailing but rather spend more time driving. From the einszett line, I would recommend the following as a starter:

    Perls Shampoo - $10
    Wheel Cleaner - $11
    Paint Polish - $20
    Glanz Wax - $20
    Cockpit Premium - $11
    Vinyl-Rubber Care and Protectant - $15

The advantage with einszett is that your getting a much higher quality product than the off the shelf brands without making a huge leap in pricing.

The above products will last you quite a while - ask anyone who's used them. Paint Polish and Glanz Wax will give you five full car applications. Apply each every 5-6 months. Paint Polish and Glanz Wax is one of the easiest polish and wax to apply out there - ask others for confirmation of this.

Perls Shampoo is a great wash that will add protection and shine with polymers. So it will help further extend the protection of Glanz Wax.

Cockpit Premium is for all your interior needs and Vinyl-Rubber Care will treat all exterior plastic trim and tires.

I guess I emphasized Hate too much. It is not something I like to do, but I do it and rather do it myself. Didnt have great experience whenever I had others clean/detail my old car.

Thanks for the help. i will look into these products.
