    How to fix seized coilovers?

I just bought my S and I need to raise it up. Its at 24.5" now and I would like to get it up an inch or so but my coilovers are seized. After a couple hours I was able to break loose one of the secondary locking collars but I have yet to be able to break loose one of the main collars. I have been soaking them in penetrating oil and tapping on them but they won't budge. IDK if it makes a difference but they are H&R coilovers.

Any tips from the pros out there?

    Thanks alot,
    Matt

Try taking a blow torch to em. Though I'm not 100% you can do that on a shock. Also, have you tried putting a wrench on it and hitting the wrench with a hammer?

If you are willing to try anything, How about some anti-seize/PB Blaster?

Put a flat head screw driver on one of the notches and hit it with a hammer in the correct direction. This is how I got my 4 year old KW varient 2's to bust loose after being at the same hight for such a long time. And TONS of PB blaster!

I had this problem. I just sprayed on wd40 and let it soak in for a few minutes, came back and hit it again with some more and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Since I lost the key, I just used a deep socked with a 6" extension in the groove then smashed on it with a hammer. Came undone perfectly.
