    For a 2002: scroll down to section 09-Elec. Ctrl. Mod. K1 – KWP1281

If you are Xenon the code for adaptation should be 00011

If you are Halogen the code for adaptation should be 00001

This will allow you to have the fog lights on without the headlights turned on. Assuming that is what your question was.

Re: how can I disable the fog lights?

Try closing the connection on the fog light wiring harness. This can be done by taking a piece of small wire and bridging the connection between the to electrical nodes connectors. It works for disabling the brake wear connection so I assume it would work the same for the fogs...

Sorry. Your original post wasn't too clear to me. I apologize.

Like Jordan mentioned, try using a wire to jump the two terminals. Kind of like how Jeff did for his windshield washer level sensor: http://www.audigeeks.com/forums/index.php?topic=862.0

    Necro bump.

But connecting the two wires?! That sounds like a recipe for a short, and blow a fuse to me...

Anybody have any other better ideas for this, I'm thinking about wiring a resister of some sort to the fog lights to get rid of the error.

Search again young Vin...you can use a resistor that has the same ohm value as the fogs themselves...

I did search, and currently locating a resistor for the job, except i wanted to inform people that tying the two wires is a BAD idea.

Re: how can I disable the fog lights?

i think that any small resistor would work. the circuit would only supply as much amperage for whatever is connected to it. in this case enough for the resistor and the icm would detect a user on the circuit...

in theory it should be ok
