B5 S4 vs 2008 Pontiac G8

So I'm at work right, and a co-worker says that her boyfriend just bought a 2008 Pontiac G8, 3.6L, V6. Just to give you some number here, the car puts out 261 @ 6300 rpm in hp and 250 @ 3200 rpm in torque.

Another co-worker asked if my car is faster than his in a race, so that made me wonder. Mine is completely stock, and by numbers they are almost the same. His Pontiac however is automatic while my S4 is man.

So what do you think, can I take him?

He's got less drivetrain loss on top of it... so he has more power going to the wheels.

I'm dying for a chip, but it will be later on.

race him for a couple hundred... then you have some cash for the chip... given you can shift efficiently and effectively and not miss a gear or anything.
