question for folks with AVIC D3's

how's your radio reception? some of the stations that should be strong kinda come in and out...

also, have you been able to pull out the radio since installing it? if so how'd you do it? i wanted to pull it out and check the antenna connections again.. but it's in there pretty firmly.

aside from that the thing is awesome.. sounds way better than the bose system.. and everythign works.. best part? only cost me 500 bucks.

FM has horrible signal right now. i think my antennae became disconnected. I removed it before with just a flathead screwdriver and it was fine. Awesome unit indeed.

hmm, wondering this as well..are you talkin about 101.1 and stuff...same issue here...well i have dead spots i guess that i never had with just the regular stereo...but i love the d3.

if your reception is bad it is likely because you needed an amplified antenna adapter, which has a power wire in addition to the basic plug adapter. mine needed it, and now i get near oem radio reception, no dead spots.

i thought i got an amplified antenna adapter.. i thought it came with the kit.. i connected it to the "antenna" cable on the AVIC.

crystal clear reception here, but then again it is usually in ipod mode
