    Power Steering belt shreded today...

So earlier today my car was driving fine, i pulled it into the garage and installed a boost gauge. Afterwards, i started the car and no longer had power steering.

The alternator/power steering belt shreded (it was old and brittle). So went to the parts store and bought a new one. Ripped down the front end and found a little goody i didnt know was there... an ecs tuning crank pulley (its purple and has 1018 c enscribed on it).

The belt i bought (part number 510k5 and 5pk1295 (one belt two numbers)) is too long. Would this mean the pulley is an underdrive pulley? or is this the wrong part number?

Also, does anyone know where to get a new v-belt for the water pump? The part stores around me dont carry the v-belts. Should i just go to audi? Also, do i need to get the audi coolant?

Should i be worried about a warped head? It idled fine when i started it up and found the p/s was out.

    Thanks for the info!
    Neill

    Should be external.
