RS4 with Tiptronic?

I have seen the price of RS4's go down locally 'cause of gas prices/low car sales, so, I might upgrade.
However, my bad left knee (thank you Uncle Sugar) & SF traffic makes me shy away from a MT; which seems to preclude buying a RS4.

Anyway...while doing some research a couple of Audi dealers claim to have '08 tiptronic RS4's. I was under the impression that RS4 only came with a 6mt.

Is the RS4 now available with the tiptronic?

Never has been and never will be. High Rev engines are not compatible with torque converter based auto transmissions.

Look for a DSG Box in the B8 RS4.

Thank you Liam! I couldn't find anything, other than their claim, indicating otherwise.
I don't know... maybe I'm getting old... but what happened to dealerships knowing their product line?

Not sure where you saw this (it ain't true) but I have seen all sorts of cut and paste errors when looking at the descriptions in the dealer inventory searches. I found a 2007 S4 with a 2.7 V6 at one local dealer site - now there is a rare vehicle

Now that's stupid. Can't they at least get their facts straight?
