collapsing of a TIP underload?

When i boost particularly from 2nd to third everyonce in a while when i hit it i get a crack crack crack... with a powerloss untill i let off. it doesn't do it untill i boost hard. what does it sound like when you stock TIP collapses? want to know what will fix that never thought i really needed a TIP untill i went ko4 or BT i have APR stage 1+ currently

Not sure about the crack crack crack... that leads me to think it's not the TIP collapsing.

Mine would lose power like you say, but the sound simply seemed muffled. IIRC.

my TIP used to collapse under high boost, especially on the interstate under heavy boost... JJ TIP fixed it and saw increased power and spool

Are you under stock programming or an ECU flash?

We (ASP) saw my OEM (stock) TIP collapsing around 5000rpm under WOT with just a simple ECU flash (and stock injectors).

Under stock programming I never had a problem.

damn dougy, u are usually pretty sharp! he has APR 1+ (last line)

i know when i pull full boost (about 23lbs) it used to surge really bad, JJ tip, it all went away

It sounds like a surge issue right around 20psi makes sense to me whats the condition of your TIP up for sale?
