Fuel Pump story(long)

So at 6:00 this morning, i decided to go to the gym and stop being lazy and well when i got there, i heard the rad rattling from the right rear, so i stepped out and heard the fuel pump struggling, so i decided i'll go to Rusnak Pasadena and have them take care of it, and well i got there waited one hour only for the guy to tell me since it is a recall u have to wait till next week when we have more spare time! so i asked him that if my car died i would've had to have it towed home and then back tou next week and he said yes! So i called The Auto Gallery in Woodland Hills and a man named Dave Bruno picked up, the most respectful advisor i've ever met, told me bring it down and that he'll have it done in 4 hours! so i drove 30 miles, and i exited the freeway, and about a mile and a half before the dealership, my car shut off, and i dumped it into neutral and my luck i coasted 1.5 miles at 40mph and with no brakes or steering, turned the street and stopped right at the dealerships driveway! Sure enough 4 hours later he called me picked me up and he included a free 28 point Inspection and $40 of Chevron Gas at no charge, washed my car too! He said yo even if ur in San Diego and u have a problem and the dealer is giving u shit gimme a call and i'll handle it! So i unexpectedly got my recall done and met the first respectable service advisor! thanx i know "how lame!"

Lol when i told my dad that i coasted i had a big smile on my face, and he looks at me and says: "Is that funny or something, u could've been killed!" ya but it was fun!

i just had penske replace my fuel pump last year (i think they just replaced the filter.. i ll check my records) but im getting that rattle again... its mild, and i've had it for months...

It's a 2003! see the funny thing is that the advisor dude was sent from Porsche's service department literally 10ft away because Audi needed help, and he said he doesn't understand why others treat customers like trash, it felt like i've known him forever!

only 2003 :( my fuel pump has been whining for months now, since october, im a 02, i changed the filter but stll making noise, im doing my major 80k next friday at work so im gonna change it then.

meanwhile my dealership won't even give me my radio code. told me to go find the original owner of my car from back in 2002 since they kept the owners manual...



make sure they replace the fuel filter too!

^^don't think it is covered but i changed mine 10k ago, but i'll do it again soon! but i agree the dealers suck, but i got lucky with this guy, i asked him if he can clone to work for mercedes and other dealerships and stuff, and he said nah that his wife would go crazy! haha!

my dealer told me some of the recalls include the filter and some don't. mine did.

Everything worked out well and i had a feeling something crazy like this was gonna happen! but now the car idles smoother and has a lot more power and has no surging! and i bought a new N80 purge for $110 and fixed the check engine!
