Is it normal for the tire to run this close to the rear wheel bearing housing?

There is only like 2mm of clearance between the arm and the tire... if I fold a piece of paper over a few times it gets friction on both sides. Is this normal?

This is on stock 17" avus wheels with fairly new 225/45/17 Goodyear Eagle F1 A/S's

    TIA

Thats the way it was on my A4 when I put some 18" wheels on. However they would rub and eventually ate through the tire to the wires. Keep a close eye on it for any signs of rubbing, if you do, put some spacers on!
