Votex Rear Diffuser - What Colour ?

Fitted said part and cannot decide what colour to paint it,

Body Colour (Phantom Black) or thinking a Charcoal/Gun metal grey colour. Opinions ?

(shown colour is the undercoat it came in...)

naw, tint your tails then paint the diffuser a very very very dark red to match...like black paint with a sneeze of red food coloring...like you'd think it's black until you looked at it close and were like "oh man, that's red!" k....too far.

Thinking the same thing but probably not real CF as I'm not aware of anyone over here in Australia doing that service.

There is a local alternative that I've used before. Not real CF but the results are superb !

Cost effective as well. Basically it's a dipping process and then 2pac cleared over the effect. Very glossy, very durable.

Have seen their (mad-coatings) stuff and its pretty darn good. Custom Carbon at Geebung will do the real deal in CF if you want, but prepare to offer up your first born child for the pleasure.

I've been to Custom Carbon before and yes - Top work but you pay for what you get

I got the rear defuser from Brisbane Audi Centre about 2yrs ago (was in the genuine accessories catalogue...) I paid way too much for it (~$850). If doing it again I'd get one out of the US instead....

I'm currently modifying it. Opening up the exhaust outlets to suit larger oval tips. Coming along nicely - it should look hawt....

As a thought. Have your considered before painting it or finishing it, getting someone to make a mould so you can get some made up? Perhaps re-coup some of your money.

Probably wouldnt bother... In the past I spoke to Custom Carbon about a similar exercise, still talking several hundred to get a mould produced .
