    Question Getting a 2.0t

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Recently my friend said he would sell me his 05 2.0t with 21,000 miles for $18,000. Currently I have a 03 1.8t with 65,000 miles which I would sell for $15,000.

My car has Apr 93, tt injectors, apr dv, carbonio intake, decorsa exhaust, neuspeed pulley, new south gasket, h&r lowering springs and 19's.

The 2.0t has a $2,000 sounds system, $1000 wheels and a giac chip.

I cant decide whether to sell my car or keep it. I want a faster car. Also I think my friend might have beat on the car a bit during the break in period. I wasn't sure what long term affects this had on the car. Also I heard the 05 2.0t are different for tuning. Hope someone can help me make my decision. Thanks, Greg

    Re: Getting a 2.0t

With 21K on it, it shouldn't be a problem. These cars don't really need a "break-in" period. I just had an A6 loaner with 150 miles on it, I asked and they told me to just go and "enjoy" the car. Have you driven it? Does it drive fine? If it does, go for it. You won't be disappointed with the 2.0T over the 1.8T.
Papachristou: i just said "yeah well you are still driving a neon, and she still wants to ride in my car"

Yeah, that sounds like a really good price for 21,000 miles. I'd say go for it

it might be hard for you to get 15k for an 03 with 65k on it.

yeah, no way it would be 15k unless you are lucky enough to find an idiot that live in a cave for years lol. Anyways, this is a great deal. I would jump on any day, any time. My 02 A4 is close to 100k already. There is nothing wrong, I'm still enjoying every bit of it but it I get a deal like yours, I def will not let it pass. A few weeks ago, I was making a deal on this guy's 05 A4 USP. Guess what he asked for it!! 20k. I was like yea right.

This is important for the price, altho in the $18k's is an amazing deal; I just bought an '06 with the same miles, Cert. Pre-Owned for $27k, non-sline, leather, AT, Quattro but no nav. I feel I kinda got screwed, but its CPO and I love the car so far, so it's not terrible, plus the promotional finance rate was killer.

At a price like $18k, it probably is FWD.

Sounds like a great deal to me as well. I bought an '06 that had around 30k on it, also was Certified Pre Owned for a little less than $25k. It is a non sline no nav and no bose. It's a Quattro, has bluetooth, auto, leather. I also took advantage of the finance rate I got 0.9%!

Look at what options it has as well, they sometimes tend to add up in price also.

Sounds like a good deal to me! I purchased my first Audi about a month ago. It's a 2006 A4 S-Line 2.oT quatro 6speed. I got Nav, 6disc, XM and pre certified for 25,000. At the time the car had 25,000 miles on it. I love my A4!

Yep, this is a great deal for a non-Quattro, but if it IS Quattro.........you, sir, are a bastard, OP!

    I kid, I kid...

And btw................ZERO POINT FRIGGEN NINE?! You're a rat, too! I got the "special" rate of 4.6, but that's pretty good compared to the 7.something I was facing for a non '06.

    Re: Getting a 2.0t

I have an 02 GLS 1.8T with APR 93 and APR turbo back exhaust as daily.

    Revo on the 2.0T

The Audi is a much more refined car, but not quite as fun to drive. The longer wheel base makes the A4 feel a lot less agile than the MK4, and the A4's seats are piss poor compared to the Mk4. Aside from the seats and size difference, the A4 is just a much better car. And if the car you plan on buying is a quattro I'd say go for it.
Also, unless your GTi is a 337 or 20th you probably wont be getting 15k fot it, even with the low mileage. Especially considering that you can buy a brand new Mk5 Raibbit for 15k, our MK4's have been been on a rapid depreciaition.

My bad back heartily disagrees with you. I can sit in the B7 stock leather seats all day for an 800 mile ride and feel as fresh as when I wake up in the morning. On spirited drives, they support me very well. Not Recaro-level support, but close enough.
