    Re: Help! Problems To Put One Cruise Control In My B6.

    After installing the cruise control switch, and the correct steering column control module, the engine ECU must have the cruise control activated by using VAG-COM, and accessing "Coding II" and entering the number:"11463", then close the session and turn off the key for at least 10 seconds. Next, re access the engine ecu with a new VAG-COM session, and read measuring block 066,
    Display group 066: Signals to Engine Control Module (ECM)

    Display
    xxx km/h
    XXXXXXXX
    xxx km/h
    XXXXXXXX

    Indicated
    ACTUAL speed
    Switch positions
    SPECIFIED speed
    Switch positions

    Functional range

    0 = off

    1 = on

    0 = off

    1 = on

    Specified value, field #2,

    XXXX0XXX

    (cruise control not activated)

    XXXXXXXX

    XXXX1XXX

    (cruise control activated)

    Note

    Value: X = no significance

    The field 2 must show the 1 for cruise activated,

    Close VAG-COM and test.

    Thank you for the answer, but i think i must pass one small cable between the cruisecontrol and the engine control module, because a friend of me toll me that my car model don't have it, the problem it's that i don't have the electric esquema to check how and were to put it.
    Can arrange me that too, if it's possible.
    And 1000000 thank you.

    Re: Help! Problems To Put One Cruise Control In My B6.

    No, a new wire is not required. The way the cruise control works is that the column switch is connected to the Steering Column Control Module, and the engine ECU actually provides all of the cruise control functions. The commands (as control message data packets,) for the driver's input is relayed from the Steering Column Control Module to the Engine ECU via the Drive train CAN data buss wires. The Drive train CAN buss wires are already present and in use between the several controllers in the car. Besides the activation of the cruise function in the ECU by entering the Coding II number, the Steering Column Control Module needs to be coded with VAG-COM to recognize the presence of the Cruise Control column switch you added.

    Work sequence
    Connect VAS 5051 tester => Page AUDI-B6-FU01-01-001-0501-7 and select vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics". Ignition must be switched on for this.
    Display on VAS 5051:
    1 - Enter code word
    Activating cruise control system
    Select "11463" in button field -2- and press -Q- button to confirm input.
    End function "11 - Coding II" by pressing ◀ -button.

    Re: Help! Problems To Put One Cruise Control In My B6.

    In addition to the Coding II of the engine ECU, the Steering Column Control Module must be coded as follows:

    0?xxx: Steering Wheel
    0 = Standard (without Multifunction)
    1 = 3-Spoke Steering Wheel (Sport Steering Wheel)
    2 = Multifunction Steering Wheel with Radio Control
    3 = Multifunction Steering Wheel with Radio/Telephone Control
    4 = Multifunction Steering Wheel with Radio/Telephone/Voice Control
    5 = Multifunction Steering Wheel with Radio/Voice Control
    0x?xx: Options
    +1 = Tiptronic
    0xx?x: Board Computer & Cruise Control
    0 = Board Computer & Cruise Control not installed
    1 = Board Computer installed
    2 = Cruise Control installed
    4 = Board Computer & Cruise Control installed
    0xxx?: Rear Wiper (Chassis)
    1 = Rear Wiper not installed (Sedan/Cabriolet)
    2 = Rear Wiper installed (Avant)

    For example, with a 3 spoke sport SW, Manual Transmission and Cruise Control and Board Computer (DIS), chassis: Sedan, coding would be "01041".

    Re: Help! Problems To Put One Cruise Control In My B6.

    Hello again, no chance for me, because my car doesn't recognizes the cruise control, i must change the part that makes the connection between the cruise control and rear wiper to the column, I have coded and then the Vas-5052 tells me that it’s not possible, my car have some type of low system for the Steering Wheel, so in the dealer they have told me to change this part, and then I can code everything without problems.
    Let’s hope that with this new part start to resolve my problems.
    Thank you again, and I will tell you later if it works or not.

    Hello diagnosticator,
    I still have some problems, because now the cruise control it's coded and working good, but I still have the lights from: ESP, BRAKES and handbrake lighting.
    What should I do to turn them of?
