    intake worth it???

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
i had and evoms intake on my car and put my stock one back on. it runs soo much better with the stock rather than the evoms. seems like too much air is getting in and making my car hesitate with the evoms. i'm thinking about selling it but don't know what i should do. any opinions on to keep or get rid of??

    Re: intake worth it???

I have one and my best piece of advice is to sell it. What you need to do is cut a whole on the bottom of your airbox instead for free with the stock air filter. Search for "darintake"

    Re: intake worth it???

i was going to write back to you via PM, but now that you started a thread its easier! Why did you get an N75 Race valve ? Unless you are tuned for one its only going to cause problems. I would say get a new regular N75 in there see if that helps.

    Re: intake worth it???

I wouldn't bother with a cone filter or the S-flo, just go with the stock panel filter or an ITG panel filter with darintake or RS4 box bottom

Should I worry about water intrusion with the darintake if I have no belly pan?

I wouldn't really worry about it unless you're driving through deep puddles.

    Re: intake worth it???

ok, sounds good. you guys made up my mind i'm going to sell it. i have a k&n filter in the stock box now. just gotta do up the darinintake.
i bought the n75 valve just cuz my friend had it and was selling it dirt cheap in a package so i figured why not. i like it though. helps out a bit but i dont think its worth the price new. i wouldve never bought it new. what kind of problems occurs with them?

i have no belly pan as well. if you look under there, water would have to defy gravity to get up to the airbox HAHA. dont worry about it

well some problems people find is that if you are not tuned for the N75 Race valve then it causes throttle cut and issues that you are mentioning haha.

    Re: intake worth it???

lol, wut a coincidence. only thing is that now since i have the stock intake back in with the k&n, it runs as it should most of the time. so i'll see what happens with different scenarios. lol. i like the way it works though no doubt about it.
