2 questions on the OEM Switches in B6

I'm sure you have all seen the "Funk" Switch http://oempl.us/index.php?main_page=...roducts_id=545... but I cannot for the life of me find the supplier that sold the switches with no words (blank)... i'm looking into a few options for my V1 hardwire and remote mute switch like on LI-S4 concealed display, which I am currently running. i also had "something" else along the lines of a V1 installed and did not have an ON/OFF switch...

right now i've got both the V1 and Laser Jammer mounted on the same on/off switch but, would like to have a Master for both, then each on their own...

and since I never use the factory cupholder anyway, figured i'd do some research...

oh, and the switches they are momentary aren't they?

you are the man... thank you sir...

so these aren't interchangeable at all as far as location goes? I was wanting to remove the entire cupholder and put 4 button's there instead of the cupholder

Those buttons are for the area between the ESP button and the Hazard button. You will need to remove the card tray and get the switch bracket. The part number is: 8E1 941 567

    This is my setup:
    -Bracket:

    -Bracket with buttons installed:

-Bracket on the left, card tray on the right:

    -Installed:

The V1 mute is the "overhead light" button and the Parktronic button is about to be replaced with the Funk Switch, which will be toggle power for my laser jammer. I still need to get the ESP face from the B7 which will make the buttons flush.

Re: 2 questions on the OEM Switches in B6

this is almost exactly what i wanted to do only, i want to keep the card tray and lose the cup holder (it is useless anyway) and put the 4 buttons on that side... you have any info on that?

also, when you used one of the OEM buttons for the mute switch on the V1, was there any "special" wiring you had to do? i heard something about needing a relay hooked up because the OEM button was momentary.

I am also wanting to use OEM buttons to power on my V1, a separate one for my jammer and the third to use as a "master" to power both...

not really looking forward to the install at this point... lol

Im not sure what to tell you regarding wiring a master switch. But as far as the V1 mute, that is going to be the only 'easy' part of your install. If you search the archives here and on AW, you should find pin-outs for the switches, which will tell you which two wires to connect to your V1 wiring (are you doing a LI-S4 concealed display?).

i remember seeing the wiring diagrams, just can't remember where, i'll find them... I've been running the LI-S4 concealed display for about 4 months now, other than the adhesive used to make the display melting on my car's trip from Baltimore, MD to Honolulu, HI it is perfect and worth every penny!

When I originally ordered the display from him I had enough wire to mount the mute button under the shifter boot but, since i'm a TIP (flame suit on asshats) for now the mute is mounted under the Steering Telescopic/Tilt Lever with some electrical tape, been great so far there...

EDIT: CasaS4 you posted in my original "concealed display" thread from a while back, where I had the V1 Concealed Display mounted in my ashtray... hahaha, round and around she goes...
