Its behind the panel on the drivers side in the trunk. Take that off and it should be tied up untie it and run it up the back so the changer can mount next to the bose amp.

I recommend an iPod integration rather than a 6 CD changer. That's what I did with my 01 A4 (w/ audi symphony).

Ditto on the iPod. One of the best mods you can do for the sound system. Hmm, six CD's or 80gig of music?

I went the route of mounting the iPod on the dash using the ProClip for my pod, and A4 specific mount on the vent. Clean looking, and use the iPod for all controls (not the OEM headunit). The unit I chose to replace the CD was the PIE specificly for the Audi. Also need a 20ft RCA to 1/8 to go to the front of the car. Lastly chose to go with a Belkin adapter for the ProClip, as that ensured that the iPod was always charging, and you can control the amount of pre-amp going into the headunit. Not a cheap route, but well worth the investment.

For me, I really install the real iPod integration. That means I can only use the iPod. There are some advantages.
    1. The iPod is always charging by default.
    2. You can control through the head unit.
    3. You can also control through the iPod.
As I can control through the head unit, I don't need the clip and just wire the iPod into the grove box.

    Re: 6 disc changer??

    To each his own.

I originally had the "integrated" version in my Volvo and was driven crazy trying to find songs, albums, etc through the cd control buttons on the headunit. You just can not beat the iPod GUI, that is why I opted to have mine at an arm's reach and a quick glance; scoll, click and go. Plus can play videos for the little one while we drive...yeah I know it's not 100% legal, but not anything the Gendarmes here in France are going to worry about. Lastly, since the input is through a simple RCA plug you could use it for other items such as Bluetooth, Sat Radio, PDA, etc, not just an iPod.
