Tint Shop? Just failed Recon

Hey Guys,

Just got back from the recon place. I need it for my suspension. The suspension was fine, but my tints came in at 27%, lower than the minimum of 29%. I guess it came in so low because it's 35% over the super light tinted-ness of the stock glass. Frickin' recon is crap.

So yeah, I need to get the tint stripped and re-tinted. Anyone know a good place to call?

i just had some work done by Smitty's Tint (does stereo installs also, and does AWESOME work) I can almost guarantee he is cheaper than ANY other place on island when it comes to tint... Jesse can probably vouch for him as well

smitty's tint he works out of his garage, and only uses the best Film and has a Light meter to check the % when complete... I'll PM you his Cell number

Hey Erocko, no need recon waste of time. Just roll with it. Most of us don't have and we don't get hassled. lol gots to live on the edge.

If you have minimal exterior mods cops won't mess with you. But if you frequent Waikiki I would get recon asap.

hehe, I am getting it because I need a safety inspection for the car. It expired last month and nobody would inspect it without recon. My car isn't too bad, so I haven't been hassled yet. My car is totally legal on Maui, so that was the card I planned on playing if I got pulled over. Plus, I already had the alignment done, so I might as well get the damn thing already.
