i just realized that i've lived in vancouver for all of my life and i've never walked or been out of my car at that intersection...

how did u end up in the downtown eastside?

Lonely Planet lists the downtown east side of Vancouver as the worlds safest ghetto.

Its funny, the people are all sketchy and drugged out, but they are like pieces of wood walking around. I don't feel threatened at all. I mean, if you like people watching, this is the ultimate place to be.
