Wow, thanks a fucking million triple-A. You first try to solve my ordeal by bringing a Wheel-Lift truck to tow a AWD car, though i specifically stated serveral times i will absolutely need a FLAT-BED you deaf assholes. Now, im pretty sure since im a Premium member i wouldnt have to pay for gas right? Wrong. Are you kidding me? I have to pay 5 dollars a gallon for cheap, probably imported from mexico 87RON sludge gas? Even though, again, i requested premium and then again ( i even offered the guy money to get it for me) from a Chevron just about a 1/4mile away i was again refused. Now being the major possibility was that i had no gas, i let him fill it with about 2 gallons of regular to see if it would work. Bad Idea. 1st this guy gets a gigantic red container of gas with a thick yellow funnel-tip and trys to fill up my tank, which he of course miserably failed at spilling about a quarter of the gas on my paint (THANKS) and decides to use an actual funnel. 2nd bad idea. Using that funnel was probably the biggest mistake in the fact that he couldnt quite get it in correctly so he really makes an effort to jam it in there.
Now if anybody has knowledge of the way that fuel tank flap works, as it opens, the breather valve/vent slides open simulateously to vent fumes, and is apparently pretty delicate. Well Mr.jam this funnel in there till it works, busted it and i didnt know for about a day later when the check engine light came on.
VAG'D it, and guess what came up? An EVAP error! Whoooohooo! I didnt quite know why the error came up until i tried to fill my tank. "What? Im on close to empty! WTF why does the pump keep shutting off as if im full?" Well theres your EVAP fault for you. The Breather vent is busted. Great. How much is that gonna cost me now?

#Ring Ring# this is Mckenna Audi, how can i direct your call?
    "Service Please"
    "Hello this is David"
"Yeah how much is a breather valve for a 00' S4?"
"Do you mean the vent in the filler neck near the flap?"
    "Yeah, that"
"Umm...one moment...*5 minutes later* You know what....we dont sell that part individually"
"Okaaayy...so what does that mean? Can you order it?"
"No, unfortunately you'd have to buy the whole tank"
"Shit, how much is that gonna run me?
    "About $1200"
    *Click*

    GODDAMN IT.

I went down to AAA/Freeway towing the next minute i had, and i addressed calmly the situation. I identified the driver who "helped me out" and here comes the bullshit.
"Nah man, i didnt bust your shit"
"Yeah fucking right, you jammed the funnel in there and spilled gas all over my car"
"Well yeah sorry bout the gas but i didnt break no valve or whatever you're talking about"
Then a barage of armenian managers full of excuses came up to me blaming me for doing it, and that it couldnt be one of their drivers (with no knowledge what so ever of audis and the way they work.) So i filled out a complaint with them and sent it to the owner of Freeway towing.

I have yet to hear from him, and this was over 2 weeks ago.

It honestly takes about 15 minutes to fill my gas tank with ONLY 20 bucks now because im constantly pressing the damned pump handle since the auto shut off keeps turning on. Its probably the most annoying thing ever.

Any one have any suggestions as to where i could find a used gastank, or maybe even the filler neck? OR even better just that fucking valve that no one seems to be able to sell?

I love my car and i hate it to shit just as much.

completely agree....I took my S out of winter storage and put the full coverage back on. A few days later I hit a nasty pothole and bent a wheel. They tell me I don't have towing services and that I'm basically s.o.l...Which I know I've had forever because I've had AAA for 12 years. Then they say their computers may have not updated since I last called and that they'll send a wrecker out "just this once as a courtesy" I told them to go get fucked over the phone and handled it myself. They are such a pain in the ass and still to this day I don't know why I'm still with them?

When you are filling up try inserting the gas nozzle only about 3/4 of the way into the fuel tank flap instead of pushing it in all the way and then only squeeze the gas trigger about half way when filling. I've had this prob before and it seemed to at least allow you to fill up without having to stand there for 15min.

just fill up a red cansiter and then use that to fill your tank. probably quicker than spending 15 minutes at the pump

    Re: I hate AAA/Freeway Towing.

This all could've been avoided if you'd filled up before 1/4 tank. I guess we all need these lesson learning experiences to get the point!

    I always requested a flat-bed, and I've always gotten a flat-bed. Even when I had my FWD Acura I got the flat-bed.

You had bad luck dude. Good luck!

That sucks bro, I'm actually glad I have AAA maybe it's just b/c I'm in PA and they are possibly using more reputable towing companies, but I've had to use them 3 different time's and was happy with my service every time. Good luck with your situation.
