    TCM Replacement from Dealer

This is a first time post, but I was wondering if anyone recently has had to have there TCM replaced? Mine has gone bad and they told me it would be 7 to 14 days to get the part as it had to come from Germany. Well its been almost 8 weeks now and they still haven't gotten the part. It seems it usually takes around 3 weeks for others, but I've never heard of it taking anywhere near this long. Just beginning to get pretty frustrated about it and wondered if any one else has waited this long.

    Re: TCM Replacement from Dealer

Is this being covered under warranty? How did the dealer determine that it was a bad TCM.

    Re: TCM Replacement from Dealer

Well it had the flashing PRNDS on the instrument panel and also the check engine light came on, so I got them to check the codes for that and they said it needed to be replaced. Its not exactly under warranty, I actually just bought it but its two monthes out of warranty, but it started acting up the day after I got it so they are paying for it. Only had 29000 miles on it too. 2004 3.0 with CVT by the way.

let them fix the car, then sell it.
this should not be happening with only 29000miles.
you probably lose $2000, the most, out of the deal .
