hi guys, i'm new there and i've got a question !

can i run a MBC alone with no other mod in my car to get 3-4 extra pounds of boost ?

i've got an SRT-4 and i'm was able to pump up the boost from 14 psi (stock) to 19+ psi with out any mod. the computer was able to manage this extra boost just as a stock map !

can my audi ca do that !? thank

Don't do that on stock software. Unless you like limp mode.

    Re: another MBC question !

i do it and it works great!! just be sure and have a boost gauge and vag com cause it takes some trial and error to set the boost controller so you wont hit limp. i spike to 12-13psi and itll hold around 10psi. its a little faster than stock and i havent had a problem yet, besides coilpacks.

    Re: another MBC question !

    8psi spike is stock

you need vag com to get yourself out of limp bc you will hit it

i unplugged the vacuum lines from the n75 and plugged them onto the mbc, leaving the n75 plugged in

    5 speed manual

at 14 psi you hit limp, if you diode you can push it to 17-18psi on stock fueling.

read this link here its got all the info you need to know...read through all the pages and you have a ton of info on the subject.

Maybe if you have a boost leak. The 150hp 1.8T's peak 9psi on a K03, the 180hp (or 170 for Audi) should peak 11.5 with the updated K03S. Either should hold damn near there intended boost and have no more than a 1-1.5psi drop. Chipped cars should peak 18-21psi and hold 14-15psi until the upper RPM's.

To the OP, dont waste your time with a MBC, 2-3psi on the stock turbo's = 10hp gain. Your motor gains/loses more power with a 10-15 degree temp change ...

    Re: another MBC question !

    all right ...

i run since few time, my turbosmart MBC and the diode mode.

i've put my MBC between the N75 and the wastegate. (it plug on the good side)

now, the thing is, i can't get a good setting for my boost.

i would like to get 15 psi stable. so i try to set my MBC.

so, this is what happen :

when i push the gaz pedal, my bost goes up to 15 psi, and 1 or 2 sec later, drop back between 8 or 10 psi.

i got the impression that my N75 do that. the MBC do it job, but at the moment the ECU see the new boost (15 psi) he ask to the N75 to put the boost back to the stock range (8 to 10 psi)

i know a lot of dude are runing the MBC Like i do. but why there are not this problem ?

do i need to plug my MBC alone and just bypass the N75 ???

i already bypass my N249, and i got no vacuum leak (reading is 22-24 in-gh)

let me know what you think guys !!!!

    how ?

take the in signal from the N75, plug it to the MBC and keep the out put from the MBC to the wastegate ?

what do you do with your N75 ?
