I just bought 5 liters of Motul 8100 X-Lite 0W-30 and got charged 92$ tax included Canadian pricing still sucks balls I guess. Jet, if you know where to get this stuff cheaper in Montreal, I'm all ears. I got it at RMR in St-Laurent.

I like to stick with Motul for everything (motor oil, gear oil, coolant, brake fluid) and the occasional fuel injection and engine cleaners... It's damn good stuff.

300V for 20$ less? Dammit, I should really shop around next time. I wasn't planning to do an oil change today, so I was kinda in a hurry to get some oil. I wanted to find all the resellers in my area, but Motul's Canadian website doesn't list dealers in Quebec so I got it at the only place I knew for sure they had stock... Ah well.

    Re: Motul Liquid Gold.

found it by searching google. on the 1st or 2nd page. $25 for a 2L can. You still get charged for import fee's into Canada? I always hated trying to ship stuff to Canada...

    Re: Motul Liquid Gold.

everyone has their opinion on whats good or not, and i think motul makes some pretty good stuff... but isn't that a lil thin for a turbo, esp if you have any mods.

i can see 0-30 in the 3.0, 3.2, I use 5-30 in my 3.0, and in canada would use 0-30, but anything with a turbo and the heat I would think the 0-30 would be a bit thin.

and yeah, pricing in the states is much better.

    Re: Motul Liquid Gold.

It's 502/503/505 approved, and this is Canada, I also make a lot of short trips, sometimes not having the time to let the motor warm up properly. I only have a stage 1 unitronic flash with an upgraded SMIC and louvers in the wheel well that increase air flow through the intercooler. But I don't drive this car VERY hard, I have another car and a whole bunch of motorcycles for that

Is 8100-Xlite a groupV ester oil? I buy 5L of Motul 8100-Xcess (group IV) for $48 each, got 2 cases at RMR. $92 is damn expensive...

BTW I go to New Jersey quite often, so If you want me to bring you back a case just let me know. I'm sure It's at least half price in the States...F%$*# Quebec

It's a mix of group IV and V. Check out Jet's post, lots of other info there: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=113743

Yeah, the X-Cess is group IV PAO, cheaper than the E-Tech ester oils, but still very good. The X-Lite should be something like 65$ at most. I think I'm gonna return this to RMR, I decided not to do the oil change yet. It's not that I care so much about the 30~40$, it's the principal, this price is MSRP from the days when the CAD was worth 0.65 USD.

    Re: Motul Liquid Gold.

Is there anyplace in Canada that will sell fluids by mail order? My local indy shop will sell me ELF 5w40 for $40/gallon, but it'd be nice to get a better deal on full synthetic 502.00 spec.
