We got an e-mail from someone with the SF gov't saying the following:

I called them to find out how much is the permit but the person who's in charge (Philip Summerfield) wont be back til later this afternoon.

another suggestion for a meet is maybe if the organizers contact the SFR SCCA autoX organizers to see if a small meet can be done at the event site during an AutoX.

For example, if the AutoX is held in Candlestick park, there is ample parking for maybe 100 extra cars including the normal AutoX participants. They just have to abide by the rules of observing order and cleanliness. This way a lot of folk can also enjoy witnessing or even participating in an AutoX, as well as show some of the AutoX'ers some nicely detailed cars. Anyway, that's just a suggestion. SFR SCCA website is sfrscca.org to check schedules.

I don't suggest a big meet just crashing into an autoX site though without contacting organizers. Most of the participants there are aware and observe the ground rules. Failure to comply means a shut down of that facility so the organizers try to make sure order is in place.

Sounds like a good idea Eugene but the rest of our SFR season is Golden Gate Fields. I dont know how many events im gonna make. I locked up 1st for the season in DSN and im missing my car Its still in the shop!

Aug 10 is round 14th I think so if it's in Berkeley, that's only 5 min from Golden gate fields. Maybe I can stop by on my way home

Mo, dang you must at least secure your 1st place season throphy even if you don't get 1st place from now on without your car. I'd beat up a rental car just to get points. To bad our TT won't work in your class There's only 3 more events. Do it with a rental
