    How to stop Shifter movement?

I hate how my shift knob moves up and down when I increase or decrease acceleration. I have a AWE DTS, but what else would I need to get rid of this problem? Would a power ring do anything?

my JHM shifter reduced this with approx 75% . I have the movement in only 2 gears now and not so drastic. before it was awful!!

New tranny mounts, the center diff mount.

If you REALLY want to remove all slop from the drivetrain, do new engine mounts and snub mount as well.

Re: How to stop Shifter movement?

034 Snub mount, 034 tranny mounts, 034 engine mounts, transmission stabilizer bar with poly mount upgrade, new center diff mount (apikol) or stern power ring, rear diff mount bushings (Pure MS) + JHM shifter = zero shifter movement. The combo brings some vibration into the cabin and breaks CV shafts when you launch hard too many times. . . and I love it.

OR just start with what Jerbel said and that helps a ton.

Mine's roughly the equivalent of a soup ladle in medium-viscosity beef stew.

I'm too busy enjoying the lack of a CEL to notice. ;)

Re: How to stop Shifter movement?

ive done ASP street density mounts all around, engine, tranny, rear diff, plus the rear diff mount bushings on the back plate, AAAAAND the jhm shifter, ANAAAAAAAND the DTS with the improved bushing...

still waggles a bit on and off power. Much improved though.
