    can anyone do this?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Ok so i need help with photoshop. I have never used it before and i have no idea how to do what i want to. So basically i need someone to photoshop for me if you're up to it. This is the best picture i have for this so i'm sorry if it's hard to work with.

And what i want is to see how the BBS CH black edition rims would look on it as well as the rear spoiler in black. And if you can a rieger and/or caractere roof spoiler in black would be nice too.

USP's are so perfect the way they come. I'd just drop it and put some spacers on it and call it good. That's just my opinion though, it's your car, and I wouldn't mind seeing the p-shop haha.

thanks dude. That looks pretty good. I must say the wheels do look good even for a photoshop. I'm really liking the rear spoiler, that looks sick.

Although it looks like on the picture that it has a different colored lip like it would if it were a polished lip or chrome lip or something. Don't they come like this?

Because that's what i was going for was the all black. I've been looking forever for this type of wheel but every one of them has a different colored lip.

yeah i have the drop in the plans. I had another thread going about body kits but i also asked about C/O's vs Airbag. I was curious about Airbag ride quality, i've never ridden in a car with Airbag suspension before. I really like the ease of it though. I have a really high driveway and at the stock height i already have to angle out of my driveway or else i bottom out so bad you can hear it from in the house. And my driveway is a good 20 yards long. I have the same problem getting into my driveway too. So my driveway isn't very accommodating for a lowered car. And because of this i was thinking C/O's would be a pain in the ass because i would either have to figure out how to get in and out of my driveway without killing my car every time, or have to get to wrenching when i leave and when i come back home. And that is definitely not practical at all. Plus i go snowboarding ALL THE TIME during the winter so i need the added height for that. So considering all the above, airbags sound much better in terms of ease of use. But then that's where the ride quality comes in.... i really don't want airbags if the ride quality is gonna be that unbearable or if it takes away a ton of performance in corners and everything. Plus if there is too much body roll, that's not ideal for snowboarding season either because of the weight transfer in corners. Body roll is no fun on the icy mountain roads... i've had to borrow my dad's Chevy Blazer enough times to scare myself into never wanting to drive it up there again. The suspension on that thing is so shitty it completely negates any positives of the 4WD other than maybe driving in mud. But in ice... not so much.

But anyway... i like the idea of painting the valance black. Good call.

I have the same car. The white is hot. If your going black wheels on that car, you need a nice shiny lip to frame the black. I don't like the black spoiler, I think it would ruin the flow of the car. What happened to the black valience that it came with? Black wheels would be o.k., but anything else black would make it look added on and ruin the USP mystique. Don't mess with perfection!

And actually, not to be a total geek(too late), but our paint color is actually "Arctic" white, not "Alpine" white. "Alpine" is the Vdub color from the same years. Probably the same color in reality, but Audi wanted its own name.

haha either way it reminds me of the mountains, and it's quattro so it makes me happy. But i thought the color name of the white changed in different years. So for example the 2002 name was arctic but it changed in 2004 to alpine. I could be wrong i just remember seeing a color sheet from somewhere that said alpine.

    Re: can anyone do this?

alright i found it. It was actually on another thread, it just took a little searching to find it. So i was right about it changing, i just had it mixed up. It was POLAR white in 2002 but it switched to ARCTIC white in 2004. I think the ad for my car when i bought it said alpine so that's probably what stuck in my head lol. Alright so Arctic, thanks for the catch. I don't want to go around advertising the wrong color and look like an idiot lol.

could be haha. Now by making it faster how much shittier am i gonna make the gas mileage. By say... adding a bigger turbo or something? I mean i know other things can be done to make it faster as well but make the gas mileage better, but the bigger turbo definitely should help the most. Actually now that we're on the subject does anyone have any stats as far as gas mileage goes with a bigger turbo or anything and what kind of gains you see hp and torque wise?

Now i'm curious, what turbo does the B6 A4 1.8t come with stock anyway?

^^ so then what would be the direct upgrade from the k03? k04 right? And then what would the GTRS or the GT2871r or GT3071r be in relation?

    Re: can anyone do this?

Mine is a daily driver, so I need decent mileage as well. I saw an improvement both with the APR flash and with the test pipe. I can get 30+ when driving conservatively all freeway. Of course that goes away when I want to have fun. I was suprised that the injector upgrade didn't really hurt mileage much if any.

I have no info on turbo changes, as I'm still running stock K03. Would sure love to hear what the k04 would do, as that is on my wish list. Again, got to keep it conservative.

yeah i just recently got mine so i'm running stock everything right now. But i know what you mean about keeping it conservative. Gas right now where i live is average about 4.40/gallon for regular unleaded, some places more and some places less but unless i want to drive for 10 minutes for every fill up i can't really get all that much better without a costco card .

I am currently a full time student and a full time worker also. So between school and work i probably drive from home to school and back to home again (about 12 miles). To work (about 4 miles) and from work to my girlfriend's house (about 5 miles). Then back home (another 6 or 7 miles). And if not to my girlfriends house i go back the 4 miles to home. So at bare minimum i'm driving about 25 miles a day. That's partially one reason i upgraded to this audi, along with the added bonus of the quattro , because i also have a VW passat GLX VR6 5 speed which around town, bone stock, i average about 19.6 mpg with normal non-aggressive driving. And ALL of my driving is around town, i barely ever see the freeway unless it's for snowboarding which i don't use my VR6 for. For that i borrow my parent's Tahoe LT, a measly 12 mpg . But now i'll be using my USP for that, making good use of the quattro.

But for a while with my VR6 i was driving so much i was filling up my 18.5 gallon tank once every 5 or 6 days, and it's been starting to get ridiculous with gas prices, having to at minimum use 89 octane gas. I dropped from 91 to atleast utilize some sort of money saving technique's.

Needless to say, i'm loving the turbo, and i'm loving the better mileage even with that turbo. And i know i'm gonna be loving it even more once snow season officially opens and i get my season pass in the mail! But i also want to atleast upgrade to a k04 at some point, so i'm curious about the stats on that. But for now i think i might just stick with intake, exhaust, and chipping mods. Try to go for the best mileage improvements first.

sweet thanks for the info. I checked it out and it looks like one is just a bolt on k04 upgrade with the turbo only for $999 and the other one is the full kit that comes with spark plugs, gaskets, bolts, injectors and everything for $1700.

I'm definitely gonna look into the kit. It sounds great. But is there anywhere you can find these cheaper than $1700?

And also i was looking on there at something called the splitter which is a diverter valve and a blow off valve in the same piece. The link is here http://www.ecodetuning.com/shop/cart..._detail&p=1338
and i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this. Cause it sounds pretty cool since you get the sound of the blow off with the recirculation of a diverter without having to do any more mods like you would with a standard diverter.

This is the best pic of the rear i have, none straight on. But yeah no black. This is the way it came when i bought it. I keep hearing about the valence is supposed to be black, so what is it supposed to look like on the rear cause mine is all white on the rear as you can see.

yeah so i figured out why the rear valence is white on mine. I called my local audi dealership and talked to the service department. I gave them the VIN and they were able to tell me that the original owner had it painted body color the day they bought it off of the lot. I'm going to have it painted black again though. I like it better, plus it goes with the theme of everything i want.
