    Unhappy i did something dumb..

started the car with the n75 unplugged.. oops

now I have a CEL, car stutters before boosting, spike and hold at 7psi.

My question is, did I just put it into limp mode? And anybody know if autozone can clear limp mode with their scanner?

    Re: i did something dumb..

when you say unplugged N75, do you mean ONLY the electronic part, or do you mean you disconnected the vacuum hoses?
If the latter, you may have put it back in wrong.

    Re: i did something dumb..

Having the N75 electrically disconnected causes "limp mode" but not in the usual sense. Instead of the ECU limiting boost due to a problem, you disconnected the valve the ECU uses to control the boost in the first place. In other words, the ECU can no longer increase boost because you disconnected the N75, thus you'll only get about 7 psi. You'll get a CEL due to the open circuit code.

Once you plug everything back in you should get boost back. The CEL will go away on its own after a few driving cycles, or you can disconnect the battery or use a code reader or VAG-COM to clear the code.

well I just went for a drive and boosted 3 psi max. pretty sure i plugged the n75 back in, unless you really need to squeeze the fuck out of it to get it on. heres my drawing of how i installed it, since i dont want to take a picture
