Dealers will sometimes do a service ahead of schedule. I don't see how that would be proof of a mileage discrepancy.

It's too late for you to switch dealers regarding this matter, but I've had a much better service experience at Audi N. Scottsdale.

That said, my wife and I had a very positive sales experience at Audi Chandler.

Good luck, and just be patient since your car is presumably running fine.

be sure to contact Penske corporate as both stores are owned by them. They are usually great abouth this sort of thing. Very strange.

Took it into Audi of Chandler and they claim that there is a mileage error in the service records thus will not service my car under warranty and further say that my warranty will be voided!

I bought the car in 11/07 with 25,XXX miles from a out of state dealership and upon delivery brought it in for the 25K service. The service advisor said that they already had me on record for a 30K service and it was probably just mis-entered by the last tech.

He told me to come back at 30K and it shouldn't be an issue. So, today I go in with 30,100 and they wouldn't even touch my car. Suggested that many dealers will swap out the gauge cluster and burn in a lesser mileage when they sell them. Can you believe this? So now I have to deal with customer relations at Audi to get this resolved.

Anyone heard of such a thing? I am livid

Yes, something similar happened to Tony at Rival Motorsports I think. He is one of the sponsors for the Tech area of brakes and suspension. There was a post long ago about it. bottom line you have to stick to your guns and go straight to the top. I myself used to deal with Audi Scottsdale now Audi Chandler and the last time I went there I was very disapointed. I dealt with Meksut and he left me feeling like I don't want to go back there...
Also if nothing else you can request the Carfax for your vehicle and show that there is consistency between the time when you purchased it and now... Good liuck bud!

doesnt sound like an issue of the chandler store but the place you bought it from originally. Chandler seems to be following their proticol from Audi of America.

I live about 5 minutes away from the Chandler dealership. If my car absolutely must go to a dealership for service, I happily drive the 40 minutes to North Scottsdale. I'll leave it at that...

After a week of dealing with Audi of America they finally have me set up with Chandler store for a tech to plug in the car and verify the odometer to the computer to verify if the mileage is correct. I don't know how sophisticated these on board computers are but we'll see. Now if this goes well, then I'm back under warranty. If, not then some heads are going to roll...

You have what we call a smart car, but its all still just software and it can always be modified with the right tools. Hope it works out for you because either way its not your fault.

Recommend Jason Brown at the N Scottsdale dealship. Very detail oriented guy and good listener with regard to problems. Even willing to assign specific techs that specialize in the ole' school Audis for stuff I wish not to deal with myself with regard to my older Audis......

yeah jason is cool...used to deal with him when I lived on the west side and drove my B6...Only thing is one time the tech burned out my Euro spec xenon housing on accidenty and Jason replaced it with a NA spec housing...!!!??? I was pissed cuz I had 2 different lights in my car but they couldnt buy me another one from http://vagparts.com

You may see me in a new vehicle after all this is done...... Word to the wise, as a consumer never ever settle. Get to the bottom of everything and if you keep getting handed off go to the top.

good luck to you..I had my own bit of legal issues with VWoA. My case took almost 1 year. I made the mistake of talking on the passat boards and VWoA read my post and it ruined my case! We settled outta court but BEWARE!! they read EVERYTHING. If I had not of said anything, I might of had a new S4 or something of that nature, rather than my 2006 A4 I have now.
