    Suspension ticking

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So for the past few weeks, i have been hearing at VERY SLOW speeds when i turn the wheel i would hear Tick tick tick. Now, i was on the freeway and rolled down my window, turned the fan down and music and I hear a constant ticking from the front left suspension. Any ideas?

I'm going to be putting my car in service to see if they can figure it out...

    Have your CV joints inspected.

    Re: Suspension ticking

Yeah CV is my guess, and I hate to ask this, have you checked the itre for maybe a nail or possibly a rock jammed in the tread.

My buddy found a Rock smashed into a very small cut on his tread and it drove him crazy until someone suggested check for a nail or somehting metal in the tire.... neadless to say he found the rock and it stopped...

    hope this helps

    Freeway going straight?

Look for rock/nail/bottlecap/schmeg stuck in the tread of the tire too. I've had it happen a ton of times

At least you know that your car will be well taken care of since you work at the dealership.

As others have said I would make sure they check the CV joint. I never thought about a rock (maybe because it's so simple) but that could definitely be a possibility.

I had the same problem. It was my milltek exhaust hitting the shaft underneath the car.
The shop move over the milltek 12mm away, and everything is fine now.

Its easy to miss too because you only really hear it at low speed because wind quickly makes it unable to hear. Easiest way at speed is a high curb (2'-3') and windows down. When you get close you hear the sound bounce back
