    S4 Tip going 3-

My driver side turbo started whining, then screeching, then smoking (on the outside, not through the tailpipe, weird).

Hello K04's for $2135, inlets for $375 (used), motor mounts because someone messed up one of my repairs and they broke, ($45 used) and a set of RS4 intercoolers with APR pipes, plus I have an APR Y pipe I will be putting in. I already had a Milltek 3" cat back installed.

Labor is $1,000 and my audi tech at the dealer is doing it in my garage. He will be supplying the gaskets and a new set of stock plugs at his 30% discount from the dealer.

My question is can I run the Unitronic software I had on before my turbos failed, or do I really need to flash it again and get a new set of injectors and an FPR like Unitronic tells me? Also, are stock injectors what I need or should I throw down for something else?

My goal is not to create loads of power at this point; I will buy a flash, injectors, and another FPR when it's time. Now I want my car driving again. However, I don't want to lean it out and toast my heads.

I did a few searches for this info but maybe I was looking for the wrong words and phrases, I actually looked for nearly an hour last night. If I missed something don't flame me for not knowing where the search button is, flame me for not knowing how to search or whatever.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can run K04's with stock fueling, that is what 3- is. but It would be smart to get the flash which will prevent a lean condition with the air you'll be moving. I know that Vast can write you a file that will max out your stock injectors and run great. check out Audisport's 3- car. I think you can still run a stage 1 tune safely. you just wont be making any more power. but, i would get the flash....

I was running a "Stage 1" flash on my K04s for about 4-5 months with no troubles.

Cool. I will leave that until I have a chance to spend the dough on a flash, injectors, and an FPR.
