I agree they are pigs, but for a non stage3 s4 to beat them.

Here's a Road and Track test they did, i couldn't find the sedan but this is a wagon so the sedan should be a hair faster.

From reading those numbers from R/T there's no way unless it was from a dig and he was on race gas.

The S4 is an amazing car to mod and get big numbers out of. that is why i a current Benz owner am looking to get an S4. now granted with a stage 3 and close to 450 hp you should kill one but bro our cars (S4) are not highway killers they are amazing canyon carvers that would destroy a Benz through the corners.

i am new to this game but an even an S4 stage 2 (100+ hp) only equals 350 crank hp. where as the E63 has 507 crank hp and as i said before even considering the weight difference you would only need an extra 50-70 hp to make up the weight. where is the 150 extra hp going. a stage 3 yes for sure but he only has a stage 2. guys i know I'm new here but look at the numbers they don't lie. i understand that on the street things are different but there is no way a E63 would loss in a straight drag.

New E500 has 388bhp . I ran one with my stage 2 and it was fast, as fast as a 335i. I beat it but it was a quick car! and it was white with black roof and 19 inch rims, hmmmm sweet car!

It started on the highway, but we actually raced (in my car) in 2nd gear at around 5000rpm until about halfway through 3rd when we got off the freeway. We both went, i quickly put half to a full car length on him and from there on the gap did not change until i had to slow down for traffic.

And as far as i know those are automatics only, and it definitely said E63 AMG on it, and 6.3L on the sides and sounded mean.

Torque area under the curve is much different in a turbo car...
I don't doubt it happened... because people can't believe my car pulled from a 400Hp M5 from 80-130ish either. I only downshifted to 5th, and I had an extra 200lb passenger in my car! HP isn't everything... torque curves, gearing, mods, overall weight, aero, etc... all play factors, but IMO the biggest factor is the driver!
Take the kill and be proud... but don't think you'll pull it off every time. Every car built is slightly different from the last on the production line. Your S4 might be a quick one, and the AMG might've been a slow one from the factory... I found this out first hand when the mustangs had hit the street racing scene hard back in the early 90's. Stock LX's were tearing up other LX's with mods, and the GT's... and there the only difference was the ground effects.

It's funny becuase S4s are NOT canyon carvers by ANY means. A stock evo could murder a Stage 3 EASILY in the canyons. Put on light tires, stasis diff/lsd, and weight savings then maybe it could be; but as it stands, no chance. Doesn't mean you can't have fun with an S4 in the canyons, but it's better for long sweeps, not canyons.

E500 has 388 bhp here in europe, a CL500 or SL500 also have 388bhp

as for the topic starter NO fucking way it was full power vs full power. those cars also have different setups and drive psetups in the gearbox and stuff. you can have it in sports but also in usual shifting and then it will go thrue the gears but shifts around 5-5.5k rpm. still enough to keep up with a 350-375bhp S4

I know how an SL55 AMG goes and I can tell you, you need a healty stage 3 S4 cause these things rock! A 63 AMG is tha shizznit . this keeps up with a M5 E60 and as we know and have seen only tweaked stage 3's can keep these suckers behind them on the freeway from 80-150mph

I raced a M5 E60 on stock program 410bhp says bmw in the tests , top gear called it tamed and sluggisch in this form , My S had a little less hp then now, around 330 and I stayed in front every time from 50-120. then at the light the dude smiled at me , lowered his window and said:
M: that audi's fast,is it stock?
me: No chip and exhaust
M: goes very well , I'll put mine in M now
me: I had a suspicion it wasn't in M, can't wait to see what happens!

light turned green, he gave me headstart and he pulled me like A MOTHAFUCK. he slowed down at the flashes to around 50(speed limit) and we went at it at the same time from 3d gear and he RAPED me. from 50-120 he pulled around 1 car per second or so haha. when i had 120 he had pulled away so far it's better to call it buslengths not carlengths

I think from the experience I had with the E60 M5 an S needs around 450-500 @ crank to hold this thing. Evilempire races neck on neck with E60's and he has around 500bhp and I think the E63 will just be the same story!!!
