Agreed 100%
If you're gonna go brand new, don't get ECS Stage 4's.
IMO ECS Brakes are mainly for looks. The stock rear/front brakes are very well balanced and it's hard for me to believe that Cayenne calipers perform better than the stock brakes.
I would not pay $1800 + shipping for these. I bought these used for $900 and I'm very happy with them (for the money), especially after repainting them, but performance wise, I cannot say that these perform better. Maybe because I still have stock brakes in the rear, maybe they'll perform better with upgraded rear brakes like S8 calipers but that's another $1000 project, LOL.
Also, if you get the ECS brakes, I'd suggest you to buy the red calipers. The other colors are painted by ECS and the paint they use it pretty shitty. They just paint over the original red paint, no primer in between, nothing. My black ones were pilling off pretty bad and it looked like ish. A drop of brake fluid and you'll find your calipers pilling off.
Regarding fitment, the stock wheels will not fit over these calipers. You may need a spacer.
And regarding the rotors that come with the ECS brakes, I've had no problems whatsoever. I'm the 2nd owner of these brakes and I already put about 20k miles on them. No warping, nothing yet.
If you're about to spend $2000 on BBK, like many already said, go another route.
You can see my ECS brakes on my members' Auto bio thread.
