    Re: Some help

have software put onto your car from 3zero3 motorsports or autobahn premier service. that'll make you quite a bit faster. it'll be fine with an auto tranny, you'll still love it. if you really don't want to keep the auto, sell it and buy a manual, then start modifying the car. if you don't like the speed get software put onto the car, then buy rims afterward.

I would want to do that but because it is under warranty I can't touch the engine. So if I did that wouldn't that break the warranty?

    Re: Some help

i know that there are certain programs (i think apr is one) that can be programed so you can turn it off making it invisible to mechanics at the dealership. you would then maintain your warrenty

also i have some 18" wheels for sale off of my B6 A4 if you are interested.

If you can find a 4th OZ sl wheel (19x8) I have three others($600). Get your car serviced with a mod friendly dealer like prestige imports (Also stasis installer). I have had plenty of comments on my mods from them.

Do you think it would be worth it to put that program in my car? Also, any pics of those 18"s?

    Re: Some help

3zero3motorsports(.com) is located at I-70 and Kipling, about ten mins outside of downtown. they are a REVO software distributor, which i highly recommend. i've had work done on my car several times there and i leave a happy camper every time. i've also had the REVO trial software installed on my car and it was awesome.

if you want to just try out the software 3zero3 will install it for free, and it will last for 5 hrs driving time before reverting back to stock mode. set up an appointment with Trevor for the software trial and you'll be sold! he can answer ANY questions you may have.

Once you get chipped im pretty sure you wont get tired of driving your car..If you need tires just buy rims with tires included and put snow tires on your stock wheels for a winter set

    Re: Some help

just go to 3zero3 and talk to Trevor. tell him about your warranty concerns and whatnot, and he'll answer all of your questions. the REVO Stage 1 software is $500, and it'll feel like a new car once you're flashed.

the dealership doesn't look at, nor can they tell if you're chipped for any kind of maintenance issue. if a serious problem comes up and they can directly pinpoint it to the software then they will run boost logs on your car to see what your turbo is boosting at. i haven't heard of anyone on audizine with stage 1 software that has ever had any warranty issues. if you really are concerned with this, just buy the REVO SPS1 program switcher and revert back to stock mode every time you go in to the dealer.

also +1 on the "get new rims with tires and put winter tires on your stock wheels" idea. the tires will be a lot cheaper this way. you can also check out the denver craigslist classifieds...i've purchased two cars and a couple sets of tires all from that website.

ps. i run all-season tires year round without any issues. mileage is still great in the summer, and i was driving in more than 14" of fresh snow on mountain passes several times this past season and quattro was a beast.

    Re: Some help

I can vouch for 3zero3 too. I've been there plenty of times and Trever and the other guys really try to do everything they can for u. (plus everyone loves a place that washes and vacuums ur car for free). You could also try Autosport Werks in Broomfield if your more north, but I'm not sure what software they work with. If u need new tires I would say get a new wheel/tire package and wait on software till your mod fund has money again. Stage 1 is a great upgrade but you save a lot of money buying wheels/tires at the same time. Both are good shops but it's a bitch getting my roommates to take me 30 min from Boulder to drop off my car at the shop. Do you go to school here?

    Re: Some help

Autosport uses GIAC. Just find the closest dealer to you and go with them. Giac is an aggressive tune, revo is fully adjustable with an sps unit, and APR is probably the most mild. All three have different files and the best customer service will be had by a shop that you can be in close contact with
