Got the BKR6E copper plugs however I don't think these spark plugs are made for my car. For some reason they where gapped at .040

So how do you bend the little piece and gap it at .032?

    Re: Bought NGK spark plugs.

I just popped in my first set of BRK6Es. I had a 55k service about 2 months ago, and the dealership put in some platinum plugs. I've noticed a rise in the comments on these plugs and thought I'd give them a shot. The transition from the platinums to the coppers made an obvious improvement.

I've noticed a considerable improvement in idle vibration and completely smoother powerband, where I experienced slight hesitations and surging before. These symptoms were only evident after chipping, but are now absent.

If you told me that these plugs fouled out every 3000 miles, I'd tell you to sell me two sets then...

These are a great and cheep improvement.

Mine were also pre-gapped at .040" even though they were not labeled as BRK6E-11 or whatever. They were straight BRK6Es.

Another note.... I did drop two coil packs over two weeks after installing these.

    Re: Bought NGK spark plugs.

    couple of things...

If you're chipped I'm pretty sure you should be running BKR7E plugs, gapped at .028. They run a little bit cooler than the BKR6E plugs. Also make sure you gap them correctly. Every time I purchase spark plugs maybe one of the four is somewhat close to .032 (stock). Point being they usually always have to be gapped individually before installation.

to gap the plugs, just get a small measuring tool at Autozone for about 65 cents. then when you want to make the gap smaller just tap the plug lightly on a flat hard surface...that will suffice.
