APR snub mounts... yes or no?

i'm basically just wondering what the advantages and disadvantages of the APR snub mounts are and if it's worth it to install them. i know they're only like fifty bucks but apparently they're a pain to install properly. any thoughts?

Dont have a APR snub, but there not a pain to install there very easy on a B6 takes like 20 min if that. i have an Apikol it was only $34 and works great, shifting is better and so is vibration at idle

Alright well how exactly is shifting improved? is it just smoother? and i've heard about how they actually increase vibrations at idle...

If the snub mount is properly positioned in its cup there is really no increased vibrations. I have had one since they came out and it makes a dramatic effect on the up and down movement of the car's motor/tranny so this is how it improves the shifting by having less play.

Re: APR snub mounts... yes or no?

I would go with Apikol. With all of the cracked APR ones and the Mooing APR valves, it would seem that APR has chemistry issues!

Installation is EASY on a B6.

I've had APR on for only a few weeks so I can't comment on the cracking. Shifting is much better. Easy to install. Note the orientation as it's only supposed to go in one way. Use soapy water.

Re: APR snub mounts... yes or no?

An aftermarket snub mount is a great and cheap mod, but do not buy one from APR.
Like I read in another post a few days ago, "another crap product, from a crap company".
    Go with Apikol or Neuspeed!

Re: APR snub mounts... yes or no?

this is slightly OT - but its been coming up a lot lately so...

the only thing that's really bothering me about APR's products isn't the fact that they're breaking a lot... (exhaust welds, DV's, snubs, etc)

its that at no point have i seen any of the reps from APR who are on these forums step in and say something to either alleviate the worries of their potential customers, or to defend their product... sure they take back the DV's and give you a new one (which i hear breaks too) but it'd be nice to see them stand behind their product or atleast give some input..

guess it seems like the other reps on here do that when their customers have a problem, i just wish i could see that same response from APR...
