    stupid wheel bearings

    i love how nothing ever goes as planned on this pos car...
    i undid the 4 triple square bolts and then tried to remove the wheel bearing housing and NOTHING. the stupid thing is completely fused with the aluminum upright

    now i have to wait until tomorrow to swing by a shop and have this pos pressed out

    just did a friend of mines rear wheel bearing. such a pain in the ass. yea,shoulda thought to have it pressed out and in in the first place.

    anyone know where i can buy a pinch bolt for the two upper control arms? heh..

    rear wheel bearings are pressed in, period...
    front bearings come in a housing that unbolts

    touche, assumed you did a rear for some reason. we got a shop to press it for free,hopefully you can do the same

    i bought two new ones from hbl of tysons, but dont remember how much, i think like under 10 bucks.

    I loosened all four bolts almost all the way and used a hammer against the heads of the four bolts. Be careful not to cock the bearing to much to cause it to get stuck. If that doesn't work, use some liquid wrench or other pentrant oil to help. Vibration is your friend. Good luck.

    i drenched everything in pb blaster and smashed all four bolts, housing isnt budging FTMFL

    i have to do the driver side rear it makes ALOT of noise ive been lazy

    LOL, Seriously, tried to take off my door blades (screws were stuck only way to get them off was dremmel, not worth it) Tried to change my O2 sensors (hours of swearing resulting in a lost o2 removal tool in my subframe!) Now I am no mechanic, but it seems like everything on our cars is somehow always stuck and for some reason only a shop/dealer can un-stick it! I love my car though just can't wait to get my S4!!!
