Halogen projectors were aligned perfectly, Installed HIDs, should they be adjusted?

Im not getting anyone flashing their highs at me, just wondering if I would need to adjust the beam pattern after a HID install.

They seem to be aimed alightly downward and I know they were perfect with the halogens. Is this common with HID retrofits?

    Thanks

No pics yet, Im at work now. I was just wondering if it was common to need an adjustment after a HID install when the Halogens were fine.

all you really need is a tape measure, some tape, a level ground and a wall

Optics are different, so yes they definitely need to be aligned.

The spread on those looks horrible though, maybe its just the alignment.
