Found a really nice b6 S4 but it seems like a little too good of a deal...2004, 31k miles, manual, imola yellow for $18500. Here's the link:

Similar ones I found were close to $25K, that's why I'm asking. What do you guys think?

Re: Is this too good to be true?

I wouldn't be surprised if it's real. The prices of B6 and B7 S4's are dropping like rocks right now, I think mostly due to the price of gasoline. Interestingly enough, B5's seem to be appreciating in value.

Call the shop, carfax, check it out. Looks like you might get one helluva deal.

I've notice the prices dropping considerably too. I thought I remember b6 S's going for well over $30K not too long ago. The V8 isn't in high demand anymore, but luckily my drive to school isn't too long so I can handle the gas prices

Gas is killing their value, they have the gas mileage of an SUV and most trucks and SUV are losing value right now too

the window sticker on a 6 speed says 15 city/21 highway... i get 16-17 normal driving.... 20 on the highway no matter what speed i go. The best ive ever was 323 miles out of a tank of premium gas. lucky for me my commute to work consists of a 1.5 minute brisk walk, so this whole gas price thing hasn't hit me much. I go through maybe a tank a week if i have enough days off... but honestly.. this car is so much fun (with a few small mods to improve drivability) that its worth getting the same mileage as my friends suburban!

If the gas prices are getting to you, then maybe you can justify buying a very inexpensive S4 to compensate for the "high" price of gas. If the car checks out i say get it!
