Can't get primary pass. 02 out.

I went to Autozone to get a 18 1/2" breaker bar and 02 socket. took off my acc. hose and top of airbox/MAF. I couldn't even torque it enough to budge the sensor.
does anyone have any strategies to get it out? maybe a little WD40 or PB blaster to loosten it up?

Im in a similiar boat but I have to replace my front driver side O2 out.

Just a suggestion, couldn't you take out your entire AIRBOX out to get a little more room to budge it out?

I know the entire airbox is pretty easy to take out

taking out the bottom half doesnt give any more room. I can take that shit out in my sleep too.

soak it in pb blaster for as long as you can, then try it. that always works for me

the pass side 02 is the easier side.. you dont have to remove the air box, the pass side should only take you about 30 mins with the right tools.. the drivers side is another story !! g/l

For me I did 2 different audi's one was a A6 2.7, then did my S4 and both didnt really have problems getting the o2's to come out.

i wonder if you tried a different 02 socket - if that would help?

I borrowed one from a friend who had snapon tools.

try using a crows foot wrench instead of the o2 socket. should allow you to line up a little better and not have the wires get in the way at all.

also, if you are using 3/8" socket tools maybe try upgrading to 1/2" for a bit more heft/torque.

Re: Can't get primary pass. 02 out.

OMG don't even get me started!!! I coated that thing with PB blaster and pulled on it for hours. I ended up removing the entire airbox, MAF. Y-pipe. and still had NO luck at all... I talked to a local shop and they said that most of the time they end up cutting the wire and other bits off then using a air-power gun to get it off!
