    hey guys,

my boost gauge was reading about 19 to 20 vac on idle or even when you are moving and you take your foot off the gas. i had a k04 put in, and flashed the car with the k04 file. now the boost gauge reads 15 vac when you let your foot off the gas or idle. anybody have any clue whats different???

    Re: Boost gauge reading

You should be seeing around 20in-Hg at idle. If not, then you have a vacuum leak somewhere.

Start by doing a visual and looking at every inch of every line to look for breaks, cracks etc...

If you have the factory lines I'm willing to bet they are degrading and falling apart due to the high heat in the 1.8T engine compartment. Replacement vacuum lines should be 100% silicon since they can withstand the heat better.
