    35k service

So I went in for my 35k service and also had a few minor things that needed repaired/replaced. Went to the service counter and the service rep got my information then also says let me check if there are any ECU updates, and then goes your not chipped or anything. And I am not so I had no worries, he did however suggest I do get it chipped and that the service dept is totally cool with getting the car chipped. He even showed me some Dyno results of his car, very impressive.

He suggested I go with APR, does anyone else suggest otherwise? Also I did check APR's web site and it looks like they have a sale going on. Looks like if you buy any ECU upgrade you get the 2nd program free? What programs will I need?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've been told some dealers are cool with modding..

    I would be careful though.

    Re: 35k service

my dealer is cool with mods......except if something happens.

They told me that they can get me a chip and if they can't do it they would mail out my ECU to get flashed! i then asked about my warranty and they told me that they wouldn't lie to audi about having it chipped. so if your DV rips and they know it is chipped they wont cover it. if your turbo blows, they wont cover it. etc....
    The usual things!!

    Re: 35k service

He didn't recommended it, we happen to be on the topic and he suggested I do it. Especially since the dealership is alright with having it done, some arn't.

Anyone have any input on what "programs" I should get if I"m going with APR?

Best way to guarantee your car runs great and lasts for up to 300K without any major problems is to leave it stock, cosmetic changes notwithstanding

    Re: 35k service

I got the 6 hour trial done. Wow!! The difference is night and day, just waiting for the trial to end to purchase. (towards the end of next week) It is worth every penny. APR does so much R & D that you could have confidence in what your getting. Now we all have to be honest with ourselves and admit a chip does increase wear and tear on parts. (and should require a closer eye on maint./oil changes etc.)
