    JHM shifter problem

Anyone in the Mass area install a JHM shifter in their B6? My friends installed one in my B6 S4 and 2nd gear isn't going in smoothly since day 1. We have spent at least 5 hours trying to adjust it on 3 different occasions, and it works out fine for the first hour and then gets crappy again. We have made sure everything is tight, its not the tranny becuase that was replaced by Audi about 5k miles ago for faulty 2nd and 5th gear syncros.... its not in backwards, and ive read countless write ups on this forum to see if there is anything i missed. I have no tried adjusting it with that angle measuring tool since i dont know where i could possibly buy/borrow one.

Is there anyone around that is willing to help me out with a removal and reinstallation? or an adjustment? i do work a decent amount every week but if you're willing to help ill find a way to meet you somewhere... I'm sick of skipping 2nd gear all the time... thanks!

    Re: JHM shifter problem

I have one in my Avant. (one of the best mods I've done)

Make sure you have the selector rod bolted to the shifter in the proper orientation. Slightly off and you won't get to 2nd or reverse.

Watch Jay's install video again and you'll see what I mean. The video explains everything in the proper detail.

If I can be of any help let me know.

I bet you when they put in the new tranny they never put the biscuit in the shifter rod selector on the tranny.
