Switched 12v from front interior light.

Trying to hardwire my v1 but having some trouble finding a switched 12v in the front interior light. Measured the reading light wires which shows 12v but when switched on drops to around 3v. BTW....I dont have the sunroof option my car only have the connector and wires for the bulbs.

Tried tracing the wires into the plug but failed. Is a switch 12v in this assembly or must I run it from the fusebox?

    Thanks

Yes that should be 12volts. I powered a tv I placed into my visor at the plug for the reading lights. Your gauge was showing draw once you turned the lights on, if that draw is too high it pops the fuse.

I pulled switchable 12V from the came location as here:

Works great for my electronic boost controller and my boost gauge

    Thanks for the reply.

Just thinking if my V1 is wired up on this wire and I turn light on could effect performance. Let me measure around more tonite with the provided links.

    Cheers
