Drivers window won't go up......already!

Has anyone else had this problem? It just came out of nowhere!
Window will start up, but immediately reverse. I started taking it apart, and then said..... wait a minute, CPO!

But, how 'bout it? Anyone else?

(I said "already" in the title, cause I just got the car! hahahaha)

Does the window go all the way up, then down about a 1/4 way? If so, that's just your pinch mechanism.. sometimes it gets a little off. If it is, you can reset by holding your button all the way till it goes down, keep holding three seconds while its all the way down, then immediately hold till it goes all the way up, holding again about 3 seconds at the top. Should reset it.

NOW, if the damn thing just isn't working period, it might be a regulator going bad.. i had a similar problem with my 04. Start listening for weird sounds (clicks, crackling, etc).. then you'll know the motor needs to be replaced (did someone say CPO!?).

Most likely the regulator - very common.
Do a search and you'll find plenty of others with the same problem.
I've already had the driver's side replaced on my B7 S4.

Now it just won't go up at all....
Maybe it is the regulator...

My C5A6 had the same problem on the passenger side front window...it would get "stuck" about half way up and go back down. Audi tried to fix it numerous times (and charged me $90 each time)...it would work for a month or two and then die again. I ended up just not using that window...ugh.

Same as kloover; happened on the passenger front window. Audi replaced regulator (they told me that the plastic piece doesn't wear well) and it has been fine since.

How long does the regulator replacement take? I've had this problem for about a month, but I've been in and out of town so much that I haven't had a chance to take it in. Now that I've got new wheels and coilovers I am really hesitant to part with the car!

It's a pretty quick swap once they take off your door panel. No longer than 30-45 mins?? You'll be out of town longer than it would take, trust me.
