I believe it needs to be polished before being anodized... If it has some wear and tear you may have to pay a chunk of money to get it thoroughly polished first...

It does have some wear so I guess it would cost a little extra. I got it pretty cheap so it might not be that big of a deal. I guess I could just sell the core and buy a new one if needed.
