    Power steering questino

This morning I felt the steering wheel was very heavy at one point. It was very hard to turn. 10 Seconds later, it was fine...

Wondering if this has happened to anyone? This is a b7 s4 manual if that makes any difference, thank you.

    Re: Power steering questino

I'm not sure what it is.

The first time it happened to me was during a 4hr roadtrip. After about three hours, I stopped at a rest stop and the steering got heavy making it difficult to navigate the parking lot. I had to wait about ten minutes before it felt normal again.

The second time was last week. I come out of work, start the car, and immediately notice the steering wheel was hard to move. I turned off the car, restarted and it was fine.

Again, no idea why it happens, but you're not alone.

There is a TSB about B7's needing more fluid than the reservoir indicates. When you take it in, ask them to look at it and also check for a bubble in the system. Rockville Audi fixed mine on the first try and it hasn't been an issue since.

    regarding the bulletin

It simply said to fill the Power steering fluid to 10mm above the full line on the caps dipstick.
You measure it with the cap screwed all the way in, then unscrew and check the dipstick level.
Make sure you use the proper Audi/VW fluid.
